Visit to Nepal

In this post you will find tips on why you should visit Nepal with the aim of inspiring you to visit this sensational country!

We believe that traveling is much more than visiting tourist attractions and taking photos. It is an opportunity to get in touch with other realities and grow by expanding awareness about the diversities and peculiarities of the world we inhabit.

Through understanding cultural, religious, gastronomic and ideological diversities we can develop a sense of empathy with others and become better beings towards the planet and others.

Realizing that we are the same, despite being very different, is something that deeply fascinates me and moves me to travel more and better, always in search of authentic and transformative experiences.

I believe that the magic of travel is its ability to profoundly transform us and make us more flexible, generous and curious. And also show us that notions of right and wrong are liquid and biased, constantly forcing us to revisit patterns and preconceptions that we didn't even know we carried.

And, in my humble opinion, few places in the world are as conducive to cultural clashes and transformative experiences as Asia – click here to check out all posts from the continent !

That's why I keep returning to the continent, and between these trips there I visited Nepal and was enchanted by its religious atmosphere, the sincerity of the people, delicious cuisine and natural beauty.

And in this post I will share with you the reasons why I think a trip to Nepal is incredible and I hope you feel inspired to visit the country as soon as possible!

                                   Why You visit NEPAL

Different Nature of NEPAL

Nepal is home to one of the most mythical and beautiful mountain ranges in existence: the Himalayas. And it is these mountains, combined with many others that are also acclaimed, that give Nepal some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.

There is no shortage of angles to enjoy the always snowy peaks of the mountains of Nepal and to be honest, at certain times the view you have seems more like a lie, it is so beautiful!

Whether on the outskirts of Kathmandu or on one of the most popular treks in Nepal, such as Everest Base Camp and Anapurna, nature puts on a show and will surprise you a lot!

SPIRITUALITY

Spirituality in Nepal is fascinating and is ingrained in every aspect of the culture and daily lives of its people.

The country was the birthplace and developer of two of the most popular religions in the world, Buddhism and Hinduism and therefore, to this day, it represents one of the most prominent destinations for religious pilgrimage.

Buddha himself was born in the mountains of Nepal, 600 years before the advent of Christianity, and this meant that the country was historically home to some of the most traditional Buddhist temples in the world.

LIGHT AND DELICIOUS FOOD

Nepalese food was one of the biggest surprises of the trip, with its less spicy seasonings, but no less tasty than those in India, and fresh, seasonal ingredients.

There, you will taste lentil soups, grains, different types of rice, vegetables, pickles and various meats. These culinary delights are generally served in small portions on a large plate, where you can mix them in between before eating.

Furthermore, Nepal inherited Tibetan culinary heritage, such as momos, which are dumplings filled with various meats or vegetarian dishes. A delight worth trying!

Just like Brazil, Nepal has very peculiar culinary characteristics depending on the region of the country and the ingredients are determined by the climate and type of soil. So, be sure to visit typical Nepalese restaurants to combine dishes from different regions of the country.

Its a cheap country to travel

Nepal is a country that offers excellent value for money to travelers, making it possible to make a relatively cheap trip despite the long distances in terms of transport.

The average cost for backpackers is 20 dollars, which may be more or less depending on accommodation and food choices.

For travelers on a budget, it is possible to have a super comfortable trip for around 60 dollars a day, with very charming accommodations and visiting highly regarded restaurants.

An excellent bargain taking into account all the wonders that Nepal has to offer its visitors!

 ADVENTURES:

There is no shortage of adventures in Nepal and there are options for all tastes, budgets and traveler profiles.

From short trails like the one we took to Namobhudda Monastery to complex climbs to the summit of Mount Everest, Nepal truly surprises with its diversity of attractions.

In the mountain ranges, the most popular adventures are the Anapurna trek or the Everest Base Camp which take at least 5 and 14 days respectively.

For those interested in safaris, it is possible to visit Chitwan Jungle Safari and see rhinos, tigers and elephants up close.

There are also rafting options in Phokara for those interested in water activities!

FRIENDLY AND WELCOME PEOPLE:

The Nepalese people enchanted me like no other I have ever met in the world!

Friendly, honest, extremely receptive and with unparalleled tranquility, the people of Nepal are one of the country's biggest attractions and make any visitor feel “at home” in this exotic and distant country.

You know that feeling of being safe and that the people around you are good? That's exactly what it feels like when traveling in Nepal.

For us, coming from India, it was such a rewarding contrast to arrive in Nepalese lands and finally relax in every way!

KATHMANDU IS A CHAOTICALLY DELICIOUS CITY:

Despite being controversial among travelers, Kathmandu is at the top of my list of favorite cities in the world and enchanted me with its peculiarities, surprises at every corner and delightful chaos in the eyes of any curious traveler!

There is no denying that Kathmandu is polluted, noisy and in certain places, overcrowded. However, with a certain amount of flexibility and interest in local culture, it is possible to put aside the inconveniences and explore a charming city in its own way.

Several religious temples are spread across the city, as well as restaurants, shops and palaces. And exploring every corner of Kathmandu is a rewarding activity for travelers!
